About the Competition
The "Biology-Inspired Aggregation Models for DAOs" Business Design Competition explores marine life-inspired DAO frameworks to enhance resilience, scalability, and cooperation in digital governance. Participants will propose biologically-driven DAO models, integrating principles from marine ecosystems into decentralized governance.
This online competition encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration between biologists, blockchain developers, and business strategists. Hybrid teams across countries are welcome.
Planned events:
March 12th, Launch Party in Spirit Animal in DUNA. What is the DAO345 Foundation, where the idea for animal aggregation models came from, our mission to support the evolution of organizations.
March 22th, online event, “Fish School Models and “gone fishing” strategy for DAOs”.
March 27th, online event, “Coral Reefs and Patterns of Aggregation, how can we build an ecosystem that is self-maintaining and self-propagating?”

The submission should include and the projects will be judged based on:
Concept Overview - Explanation of the biological inspiration and its relevance to DAO design.
Technical Integration - How smart contracts, blockchain, and AI agents can be utilized.
Scalability & Resilience - Mechanisms for maintaining DAO adaptability and growth.
Use Case & Impact - Real-world applications and potential benefits.
Feasibility Analysis - Assessment of the project's practical implementation.
The Competition closes on April 17th.

Teams may consist of 2-5 members from at least two distinct disciplines (e.g., biology, blockchain, business, AI). Submissions must include a brief paper (3-5 pages) and a recorded presentation (5-10 minutes). All work must be open-source and freely available for further research and development.
